Multimedia - Video

As part of our video class, we had to make a documentary. Our group made a mockumentary! It was called 'Chicken Girl' - the bizarre art student who wanted to stand out. She regularly dressed in a chicken suit while in college.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to upload it here. We had it on YouTube but it had to be removed as we had used music from The Muppets and The Pixies and YouTube staff didn't like it.... :(

Photos of my doll & teddies! My first ever 'Stop Motion Movies'!!

I took some photos of a doll and used an old cot in the photos. I decided to try and make a stop motion movie of them. I'm pretty happy with it considering it is the first time I ever did one!!! My orange teddy (which I've had since I was a baby myself) made a debut in the movie!! Very impressed with his moves.

First though, is this song by Tracy Chapman called Behind the Wall about domestic violence. Click on this link if you want to have a listen: Tracy Chapman - Behind the Wall

I'll upload some of the photos that I used for this at the end of the post (there's a lot of them!).

I had taken a few photos out in the sun before making the doll headless!! Just put them onto a movie for practice really!

Here are some of the stills from the doll's photo shoot!

Miniature clothing

I wanted to make little miniature clothes, so I made little templates from craft foam. I then layered single ply tissue paper and sprayed a mixture of pva glue and water between the layers.

I let them dry overnight and cut around them. This is how the came out. I'm really happy with them!

I then started shading them in various colours

I then wrote words that children have used regarding their views on violence

I plan to display them around my work space in studio for assessment as if they were on a washing line. I have them threaded already, but can't put them up yet. Will update with photos of final display.
